History
Vindhyachal is one of India's most ancient Shakti Peethas, on the Vindhya ranges by the Ganga. Maa Vindhyavasini settled here after slaying demons Madhu-Kaitabha. The Vindhya Trikona (3-temple circuit) is deeply sacred. Mentioned in Devi Bhagavata and Markandeya Puranas.
Culture & People
Primarily a pilgrimage town. Navratri (April & October) is spectacular — town glows with diyas, km-long queues for Maa darshan. 9 continuous days of bhajans. Ganga flows next to the temple. Trikona Parikrama takes 4-5 hours on foot.
